What are Tags and Themes?

Tags and Themes are used to qualify and quantify data, from feedback to interview transcriptions and research studies results.

Together they are a powerful source of truth. Allowing you to ultimately inform your prioritises, leverage it as enriched marketing data, and so much more.

How could I use Tags and Themes?

To Prioritise an Opportunity, you'd use these steps:

  1. Define a Theme.
  2. Define a Tag (child of a theme).
  3. There are several Options:
    • Use the tags to qualify Feedback
    • Use the tags describe the persona
    • Use the tags perform tag interview transcripts
    • Use the tags qualify study responses
  4. From the validated assumption and research findings, create several product concepts, to test usability with customers and the amount of effort required to release a finished product/feature.
  5. Define custom Priority Factors, set factor scores on each Opportunity (then watch it reorder itself, ready to be added to your Roadmap).

Define a Theme

To define a Theme:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the
    (Themes & Tags Manager button) on the bottom left side navigation.
  3. Enter a theme (e.g. Job Role) in the Add Theme + Enter field and press the Enter key

Update a Theme

To update a Product Opportunity:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Click the
    (Themes & Tags Manager button) on the bottom left side navigation.
  3. Click the
    (More Actions button) of the Theme.
  4. Click the Edit button, in the popup menu.
    You will see a popup dialog box with title 'Edit Theme':

    Cancel
  5. Apply your Changes.
  6. Finally, click Update button.
    Note: The Theme will be updated immediately.

Delete a Theme

To delete a Theme:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the
    (Themes & Tags Manager button) on the bottom left side navigation.
  3. Click the
    (More Actions button) of the Theme.
  4. Click the Delete button, in the popup menu.
    You will see a popup dialog box with title 'Delete Theme':

    Are you sure you want to delete this Theme?
    Warning
    This Theme will be permanently deleted
    Delete
    Cancel
  5. Finally, click Delete button.
    Note: The Theme will be deleted immediately.

Define a Tag

To define a Tag:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the
    (Themes & Tags Manager button) on the bottom left side navigation.
  3. Expand the Theme (0) you want to add the Tag to.
  4. Enter some feedback/problem-statement in the Add Tag + Enter field and press the Enter key

To update a Tag:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Click the
    (Themes & Tags Manager button) on the bottom left side navigation.
  3. Expand the Theme (0) view for the Tag.
  4. Click the

    You will see a popup dialog box with title 'Edit Theme Tag':

  5. Apply your Changes.
